This was a really enjoyable project with a simple brief - to rescue this villa garden from an abandoned wasteland and turn it into a clear family space for entertaining.
Initially the overgrown jungle and brush had to be cleared to get a better idea of the space and features... we uncovered some real treasures such as a working well and some mature grape vines.
The grape vine was trained to make a living bespoke pergola to help create some shade and give some shelter from the hot Greek sun, it is now the perfect space for sitting down for family lunches.
I aslo designed a simple raised bed at the back of the garden, this was to help level the garden and to also give somewhere to grow plants and create some interest. This garden has now been planted and seeded so I will update these images over the years to show the progress of the garden.
