Thames
Riverfront

The proposal reimagines Monument riverfront as an inclusive, resilient civic space that integrates nature, history, and technology. Human‑scaled terraces and seating soften the harsh scale of adjacent towers and invite people to linger. Native planting and raised beds reconnect fragmented habitats, supporting biodiversity and public health, in line with landscape urbanism and biophilic design.

Water features fed by a purification system improve microclimate and showcase sustainable Thames water use, while inclusive programming and pop‑up markets activate the space socially and economically. The vision aligns with Lynch’s principles of legibility and imageability, creating a public realm that works for both people and nature.
